Ingredients

1-1/2 pounds ground beef1/4 cup chopped onion1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained1 can (14-1/2 ounces) stewed tomatoes1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon chili powder1 bay leaf1/2 teaspoon garlic powder1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt1/4 teaspoon dried oregano1/4 teaspoon pepper2 cups cooked long grain rice

Preparation

In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the beans, tomatoes and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add rice; cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until heated through. Discard bay leaf before serving.
