Ingredients

1 pound ground beef1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper1 to 2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and thinly sliced2 slices white American cheese, cut into 4 squares8 slider buns, split and toasted1 can (2.8 ounces) french-fried onions

Preparation

Shape beef into eight 1/2-in.-thick patties; sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, cook sliders over medium heat 2-3 minutes. Turn and top with peppers and cheese. Continue cooking until a thermometer reads 160°, 2-3 minutes.

Serve on buns. Top with french-fried onions.
