Ingredients

1/2 lb. lean ground meat

1/4 c. breadcrumbs

1 large egg

2 tsp. Heinz Tomato Ketchup, plus more for serving

2 tsp. Heinz Natural Yellow Mustard, plus more for serving

1/4 tsp. kosher salt

5 slices deli-cut sharp cheddar cheese, each slice cut into 4 squares

5 sesame seed hamburger buns

18 bread-and-butter pickles

9 cherry tomatoes, halved

18 small pieces romaine lettuce

Preparation

Step 1Preheat oven to 400°. Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.Step 2In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, mustard, and salt. Step 3Scoop 1 level tablespoon of ground beef mixture and roll into a ball. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining meat; you should end up with 18 balls. Flatten balls slightly with the palm of your hand to form patties.Step 4Bake until patties are cooked through, about 8 minutes. Top each patty with a quarter piece of cheddar cheese (you will have 2 pieces leftover, so double up on some of them or have a snack). Return to the oven for 1 to 2 minutes, just until the cheese melts.Step 5Meanwhile, using a small (1½-inch) round cutter, cut out mini hamburger buns from the large buns (you should be able to do at least 4 per bun). Reserve scraps for another use. Step 6When the mini cheeseburgers are cooked, skewer the top bun followed by a pickle, a cheeseburger, a cherry tomato half, a piece of lettuce, and the bottom bun. Serve with more ketchup and mustard on the side.
