Ingredients

1 c. (2 sticks) butter, plus more for pan

2 (12-oz.) bags marshmallows

1/4 tsp. kosher salt 

10 c. Rice Krispies

Preparation

Step 1 Grease a 9"-x-13" baking pan with butter. In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows and salt and stir until completely melted.  Step 2Remove from heat and fold in Rice Krispies. Pour mixture into prepared pan and use a spatula to smooth top and pack in tightly. Let cool completely, then cut into 12 pieces.Step 3Pierce 1 Rice Krispie Treat with each skewer and roast over an open fire until golden, 2 minutes.

In order to get your treats nice and charred, they’ll need a minute or two over the open fire.  Make sure they were tightly packed into the baking dish before cutting; this will help keep them secure on your skewer while you’re roasting. Using a double-pronged skewer helps, too!
