Ingredients

1 c. milk

1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice or vinegar

1 c. plain whole milk yogurt

1/3 c. water (or milk)

1/2 c.  sour cream

1/2 c. water

Preparation

Milk + lemon juice (or vinegar)Yogurt + water (or milk)Sour cream + water (or milk)

Step 1In a glass measuring cup, mix together milk and lemon juice. Let stand 10 minutes or until thickened.  Step 2Use as you would buttermilk.

Step 1In a small bowl, whisk together yogurt and water until combined. Step 2Use as you would buttermilk.

How To Use It:   Use your substitution concoction just as you would actual buttermilk, cup for cup!
