2 pounds ground beef2 medium onions, chopped2 to 3 garlic cloves, minced2 cups ketchup1 cup barbecue sauce1/4 cup packed brown sugar1/4 cup cider vinegar2 tablespoons prepared mustard1 teaspoon Italian seasoning1 teaspoon onion powder1/2 teaspoon pepper12 hamburger buns, split
Preparation
In a large skillet, cook beef, onions and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink, 6-8 minutes, breaking meat into crumbles; drain. Stir in ketchup, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, Italian seasoning, onion powder and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Serve on buns.
