Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil1 small onion, chopped2 garlic cloves, minced2 cans (28 ounces each) Italian crushed tomatoes1 tablespoon Italian seasoning1 to 2 tablespoons sugar1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir until softened, 3-4 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Add tomatoes, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 10 minutes.
